Corning Inc. and Ecoplexus Sign Offtake Agreement for 200 MW Albion Solar Center

SAN FRANCISCO, CA. (January 19, 2023) –  Ecoplexus today announced a renewable energy offtake agreement with Corning Inc., for its Albion Solar and Battery Storage Center project.  Corning is a Fortune 500 and leading global technology-based company which produces a range of optical fiber, photonic components, glass panels, and liquid crystal display glass. The 200 MW project, located in Edwards County, Illinois, will support Corning’s significant operations in the US, and will help Corning reach its goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in its operations by 2025. Corning will purchase the project’s energy and renewable energy credits on a bundled basis. Ecoplexus will contract the project’s capacity, including its battery storage capabilities, separately.
